Who is the better of these Mid Tier Social Knights?
I have to give it to Forde. He has a better growth allocation, has a better support affinity, and makes an excellent A support with Franz or Vanessa, both Top Tier characters. And of course, his personality is actually pretty good.
Full Version: FE8 Day 2: Forde VS Kyle
Forde is probably Better then Kyle. I didn't like the way he looked so i didn't use him. Forde though probably has Great support with Franz. Kyle doesn't really have that great of supports but i believe he had better starting stats. But Forde has the support leverage so he'll dodge a lot more and he can kill bosses easier with someone he has support with near so he dodges so FOrde even though i didn't use him.

Wind is a better support affinity than Rain? No chance. Wind is the worst support affinity in the game.
This is a close battle. Kyle wins in the end, though. Forde struggles too much with doing damage until his supports get built up.

Doesn't Wind give Critical bonuses?
It does. ATK and CRIT are the only things wind affinity has to offer.
Well Atk and Crits are always good to have. More damage. And if you crit Times 3 ammount of damge. Make quick work of your enemies so u don't have to worry about your healers getting hit. Not like that really matters in this game though.
...And he helps that way. Vanessa needs some extra damage, and it makes Franz all the better. Kyle doesn't really benefit his support buddies other than Forde and maybe Ephraim, both who have better options.
No. If Vanessa and Franz are supporting Forde, you're really desperate. Forde butchers Vanessa's awesomeness, and should never get her support. Forde is effectively Franz's worst support option. Worst bonuses, worst unit... awful.
Kyle's supports are a little better. He's great for Lute, but Lute has Artur, which is probably a better option. He helps boost Forde's durability, which is always welcome as well.
Forde is better for Ephraim though, so I'll grant you that. Ephraim would much rather have Forde's ATK and CRIT than Kyle's AVO.

I voted Forde but these guys are bascially even in ability. I voted him because of him supporting Franz and I like using Franz a lot. To be honest though I didn't use Forde or Kyle. I only used Seth and Franz as cavaliers.
I should've read further down before voting my opinion though because now that I read Hyo's post he proves great points. Lute could use Kyle's support because her only other good unit to support with is Ross. The rest of the people I didn't use in the game. If I could change my vote to Kyle I would because Hyo's swayed my opinion.

Moulder-Lute = ownage. Moulder is definitely Lute's best support option. Artur, Ross and Kyle are all good choices behind him though.
Kyle's just better where it counts. He has the STR/DEF and enough SPD to take advantage of it. Kyle > Forde. I still think it's pretty close though... both of them are solid, but unspectacular units.

And... My vote goes to Kyle. I never liked Forde... And I have never used him.
Edit: Hyo, Lute doesn't support with Moulder. xD Her best option is Vanessa. LutexVanessaxMoulder.

Actually, Moulder A, Forde B is surprisingly good. Forde and Vanessa have equal movement, so they are usually close. Moulder A is obvious.

Not really. Vanessa trades invulnerability for matching MOV. Not a fair trade at all. Forde's affinity kills Vanessa. Simply using that support probably knocks Vanessa from top tier to high tier. It hurts Vanessa a lot.
Eh, nah. It probably only knocks her down a couple spots in top tier. Vanessa has good enough natural stats that she doesn't need her broken supports to stay top tier. Forde's wind affinity does murder her durability though. It's an awful support. For Vanessa, anyway. Forde wishes he could get those anima bonuses.

i voted kyle better strentgh than forde and forde seems to just not be good for me.

Hm. The only way I can see Forde being better is if Forde's SPD advantage plays a significant part. I wonder if there are many enemies that Forde can double-attack that Kyle can't? I don't think there are. Kyle is probably better than Forde.
