Full Version: Stories
Arch
So yah, these were the only stories I could remember off hand, if you submitted one yet aren't up here, please tell me so I can add you. We can also do a combo, if combo wins we'll do another poll of which stories should be combined.

Oh yah, I withdraw from the competition.
Flamemonkey
They all have flaws, but they're all good. So, we'll mix 'em and get a "perfect" one.

And...you misspelled "Ah Punch's" name
Arch
I'm going for the combo too (though I wasn't able to read Mochi's story because it wasn't very Word Pad friendly)
Flamemonkey
I can't read any of them from downloads. Though, from the discussion, I'd say I'm spot-on.

Hey Arch, since you're on, want to start a PM conversation?
Erebus
It's "Ah Puch", Arch. Not "Punch". -.-

Undecided for now...I think that they should post the stories here for viewing.
Arch
My bad... Yah, story writers post your stories here! (please don't attach them)
Flamemonkey
This'll be a veeery long page...
Gespenst
I'm rather partial to Ah Puch's story, but not everyone likes the ...seriousness of the content. I ought to reread the other ones first.

I don't mind seriousness in my story. Although, if someone is decapitated every other conversation, that's a little much.
Granted, I've not read Sir Puch's, so I cannot say for sure.

Right. This'll be long, and annoying to code... ;___; The pretty font...

Fire Emblem: Fate of the World

What do you live for?
Why do you fight?
What is important to you?

“This world is tainted, beyond all saving. I fight to restart it, so everyone may live happily. For the sake of many in this world.”
“The world is painful… but you know, I still love it. I’ll fight to protect it. The sky, the wind… I’ll protect all of it. The world I know.”

The Gate. Supposedly sealing Apocalypse, the Reaper of Fate. Legends dictate Apocalypse to be a monster to be feared, with power of unthinkable proportions. Supposedly, Apocalypse was created by the Oracle Sage, created as a ‘last resort’ for a world consumed in darkness. One young man believed this ‘last resort’ to be the salvation of a tainted world, and set out to find it. What he found, he could not open. Tightly locked and only to be opened by the ‘Promise of a True Heart’ this young savior began his journey to find ways to open it.

On his journey, he found companions who would follow him to the ends of the world itself: a young warrior looking for justice for her lost love; a pair of twins with zeal unmatched by even the heartiest of warriors; a young half-dragon with dreams of a perfect world; a noblewoman and a dragon lord who both wanted a world where they could live as a family; a young thief with a grudge against the world, and finally… the one who the savior would dedicate his cause to, one who he’d unlock the fury of Apocalypse for.

-

‘Overview’
Etruria is ruled by King Damian, an honorable ruler. The country however, has hit something of an economic depression, and generally, growth has stopped. People cry for a savior, and nobles snatch any chance to strengthen their wealth. The court itself is divided – those who support Damian, and those who seek to overthrow the throne and regain the previous wealth of Etruria. The court however has a plan to reverse this adversity… The chessboard is set in their favor, and they make their first move.

Bern is ruled by King Royalian, who obtained the throne from a coup d’etat some years back. Citizens adore him (he did after all, succeed the throne after a totalitarian), and Bern has flourished after the disastrous war centuries back. Its military power is as always, unmatched. However, concerns arise. Royalian has no heirs – recently the crown Prince has passed away, and the Queen is unable to give birth. The royal court as of present, is busy trying to relocate Royalian’s two other sons.

Lycia’s style of government has not changed. However, the power previously held by House Ostia has shifted over to House Pherae, ruled by the von Rozeria family. They are a powerful family, one of the last purebred nobles of the Lycian Alliance (other being Ostia). They have an active relationship with Bern (an alliance of sorts)

Ilia has no monarch, but rather is the home of most half-dragons or any hybrids. Mercenaries exist here as well, and the two kinds co-exist in mutual respect. Ilia mostly, has largely been unaffected.

Sacae remains the vast land of plains it always has been, and nomads, as well as a few wolf tribes dwell here. The movement of the wolf tribes has disturbed the balance somewhat, but for the most part both kinds have adjusted rather well. Nomads and wolves alike both suffer from numerous bandit attacks, which can be devastating.

Nabata houses dragons, who prefer to live separately from humans. The harsh sands prevent any possible intruders, and no human can survive the harsh climate. The town of Arcadia is a haven for the mythological creatures, and offers a large well of knowledge to anyone brave enough to venture. Nabata is usually inactive; there has been however, unusual activity near this region.

Western Isles are largely inhabited, due to the large wolf tribe massacre that occurred here some decades back. However, like Nabata, as of late the Western Isles has been seeing an unusual amount of activity.

The Isle of Apocalypse is only inhabited by the Grand Holy Church and is autonomous, headed by Archbishop Evangel. They remain neutral in all disputes, and live rather separately from the rest of the world. Their only aim is to spread the teachings of the Goddess Fate. The only visitors to this island are those on the Pilgrimage (from Etruria), and a young man and his companions. Evangel, unlike his predecessors, has a different type of belief and approach to the Apocalypse and 1000 Year Memoirs.

Grand Holy Church has its base in the Isle of Apocalypse, and mostly operates there. They read 'scripts', a loosely outlined 'future', yearly for different countries. Scripts were read to everyone, before Evangel became Archbishop and outlawed it. They abide faithfully to Fate's ideals, and serve to guide the world to live by it. Evangel stresses equality and one's own path of the future, and actively strives to achieve his goals.

1000 Year Memoirs – the only document in existence, that makes any sort of remote reference to the Apocalypse. Rumored to be stored as fragments of souls and ‘verses’ in chosen individuals that are born every 10 years. These ‘Chosen Ones’ are usually locked away, or killed, or face extreme ridicule (and eventually kill themselves) due to the fact that they are believed to bring about the end of the world, by unlocking the Seals of Fate (consequently setting Apocalypse free). The tenth and last Chosen One was born in Etruria, although a strange occurrence had happened… two falling stars had crossed the skies, instead of one…

Apocalypse – Most doubt its existence, but many religious teachings preach that it is indeed real, and describes it as ‘the end’. Some believe it to a monster, and some believe it is a hoax. Some even believe it to be a way to gain ultimate power. Problem is, no one knows which is true. There are no mentions of Apocalypse anywhere in ancient texts, and most documents that could have been useful, has been destroyed by numerous wars such as the Scouring. The fear of Apocalypse has a harsh grip on society and thus, annual rituals such as the Pilgrimage were born in places like Etruria. Annual sacrifices were practiced in Bern but that was outlawed after Royalian took the throne.

*I’m only specifying random units until chapter ten. I don’t know enough about the other characters to make them join in certain chapters. This is a completely random assortment, and no way permanent Some characters I put there because of the story split, some characters I threw in randomly
‘Prologue – Hello! My Name Is’
Anyse Cléraine, the sole heir to the Cléraine family name, has resided in the Holy Academy of Elimine since ten. On the day of her 17th birthday however, she was called by the Head Bishop to embark on the pilgrimage – the honor given to an outstanding student of the Academy, to carry the Holy Grail to the Temple of Apocalypse and sing the melody of Prayer, to ask the Goddess Fate for another year of blessing. A little confused yet nonetheless elated (she was in no way the head student), she departed on the journey with a dear friend, and a guard with many blessings from her parents and the King.

When they depart and leave the capital, they stumble upon drunkards hassling a noble. Anyse immediately demands that they leave him alone, and a scrimmage ensues. Anyse tells Jacob and Howl that she definitely wants to go on the journey, and leaves Etruria with pride and false impressions.
“Nice to meet you! My name is Anyse!”
Units: Jacob, Anyse, Howl

~First Verse – An Adventure, Right?~
With Jacob and Howl, Anyse leaves Etruria. Excited, she wanders on ahead, but trips and knocks over a horse, injuring it. It belongs to a bandit, and he demands that she pay for it. She borders on tears, and her two companions come to her rescue. The bandits demand Anyse as the apology and the three have no choice but to fight. They’re joined soon by a wayward archer who is searching for her friends. After their boss is defeated, Jacob suggests they leave the area quickly. The archer introduces herself as Regretta, and asks if they have seen either a monk or a myrmidon. She asks if she could travel with them, explaining she has nowhere else to go. Anyse apologizes profusely, saying she was just excited and that now she’ll pay a bit more attention.
“I’m really sorry… I was just… really excited! We are on an adventure after all, right? I promise I’ll be more careful now…”
Units: Anyse, Jacob, Howl, Regretta[i]

[i]~Second Verse – Very Important~

As they move towards Lycia, the bandits from before chase them once more, hell-bent on making the group pay. Anyse apologizes, and tearfully says that she has no money, and that she’s simply on a pilgrimage and that the Grail is the only thing of value. The bandits seem to change their mind at once and offer to let them go if Anyse gives up the Grail. When she refuses, the lead bandit shoves her and takes it anyway. Anyse pleads to have it back, but the bandits refuse and they leave.

Their underlings attack, all laughing at her. As the battle starts, a mercenary joins them, saying that he has been hired by Anyse’s father to protect the group. The group then fights and midway, a wayward monk stumbles onto the battlefield. Regretta immediately recognizes him as her childhood friend, and he joins their ranks. The bandits are defeated, but there is no sense of victory. Anyse despondently wonders if this ‘adventure’ is truly all she thought it was.
“Please, don’t take it! This Grail is very important to me! I beg of you!”
Units: Anyse, Jacob, Howl, Regretta, Shuuda, Drew

~Third Verse – I’m Sorry~
Dismayed and in a wreck, Anyse and co. continue to chase the bandits. However fog and rain force the group to take shelter in an abandoned temple, where a rogue mercenary group happened to take shelter in. They attack, demanding 'payment and entertainment' for sharing shelter space. Here the group runs into an ally – the brash thief with a score to settle with the bandits. With help from him and the others of the group, they defeat the bandits and push on ahead for Lycia first light in the morning.

They meet with the bandits again in Ostia, but they refuse to give up the Grail, seemingly hell-bent on delivering it to someone.
“I’m sorry… I keep causing you trouble, don’t I? Even when I don’t mean to…”
Units: Anyse, Jacob, Howl, Regretta, Fiona, Drew, Synch

~Heaven’s Light – Petals of Memories~
(Valor, Kiran, Meer and Blaze path) – Finish previous chapter in less than 7 turns. Recruit Synch with Anyse.

~Fourth Verse – Beautiful Violet~
The bandits prove to be a force to be reckoned with, but midway, two guardians sent by the King arrive, and the group is able to push the bandits back. However, their opponents come up with their own allies, and the group is losing once more. Just as things look bleak, a beautiful young knightess comes to their rescue, and she quickly takes care of the rest. She identifies herself as ‘Valor’, and returns the Grail. She offers to travel with them, as she has business in the Temple as well.
“My name is Valor; if it may please you, may I escort you to the Temple? I believe I shall prove useful with my skill in the sword.”
“We’ll be helpin’ you, Miss Anyse! Mystica and Tree, at your service!”
“Manners, Mystica! Milady, First Division Captain Millay Herschelle, reporting for duty.”
Units: Anyse, Jacob, Howl, Regretta, Fiona, Drew, Synch, Mystica, Millay, Valor

~Fifth Verse – Familiarity~
With Valor, the party treks through Lycia, but part of the same bandit troop attacks them, declaring vengeance for their comrades and demanding the Grail. They accidentally mistake passing traveling companions as part of Anyse’s group, and without waiting for an explanation, the mercenaries attack. Anyse recognizes the mage as a fellow Etrurian noble, and apologizes. Seeing no choice, the mage and his companion join their ranks.

After the bandits are defeated, Howl explains instead what has happened and the cleric suggests helping them. Fury agrees.
“… I see there is no other choice. Perhaps you’re doomed to be clumsy forever…”
“Perhaps we should aid them? They look to be in need…”
Units: Anyse, Jacob, Howl, Regretta, Fiona, Drew, Synch, Mystica, Millay, Valor, Fury, Aitze

~Sixth Verse – Hapless Waltz~
Without much more problem they reach the port, where a traveler is being accused by a burly man of stealing his lady. The traveler laughs this off, telling him that a holy man would never do such a thing. When the man refuses to listen, the traveler spots the group and runs to them, casually asking them for help. Angry and thinking he is being duped, the man calls his friends to fight. Left with no choice, the party is forced to fight. From the bar comes a mercenary, thrown out by the bartender. He seems to take a special interest in Howl…

After the battle, Valor demands to know what the traveler thinks he is doing. He simply thanks them casually, noting that he should watch who he courts in the future. After learning that the group is on their way to the Temple of Apocalypse, he lightly declares he’ll travel with them, and the party boards the ship.
“Ah, you jest! A holy man like myself would never dream of committing such a lowly act! Surely you see this golden glow of innocence?”
“My luck at the bar might have ran out, but I’m willing to try my luck with you, darling!”
Units: Units: Anyse, Jacob, Howl, Regretta, Fiona, Drew, Synch, Mystica, Millay, Valor, Fury, Aitze, Jorm

~Seventh Verse – Evangel~
The ship sails well – until the dreaded West Sea pirates decide to attack. When they find that the Holy Grail is aboard the ship, they become even more delighted and the captain orders his crew to ransack the ship. The traveler attempts to prevent this by declaring that he is Evangel, the Archbishop. When this is met with laughter and fails, ‘Evangel’ simply shrugs and tells the party that he is ‘once again expecting good things from them’. Unimpressed and irritated, Valor suggests that they end this quickly.

The pirates are taken care of, and they arrive on the island. Priests immediately greet them, thanking and apologizing at the same time. It turns out that Evangel wasn’t lying and the party is both shocked and flustered. Anyse apologizes profusely and Evangel laughs, patting her head and telling her she’d better complete the ceremony.

The ceremony continues on and when Prayer is sung, Evangel notes that there is no mistake about it and wonders about Fate’s motives.

The next day before the party sets off, Evangel asks Valor if she got what she needed. Valor nods and in turn, asks if he had confirmed it. Evangel says yes, and wonders what she and Kiran will do. Valor voices that she would like Anyse to join them. Evangel laughs and tells her, perhaps. But he thinks she won’t and that things will turn out different. He then tells Anyse that he hopes she finds a reason to fight someday and sends the party off.

Anyse is confused, but pays it no mind.
“Perhaps, but I don’t think so. She’ll find her own way, and perhaps be closer than anyone to discovering the true meaning of Apocalypse.”
Units: Anyse, Jacob, Howl, Regretta, Fiona, Drew, Synch, Mystica, Millay, Valor, Fury, Aitze, Jorm

~Eighth Verse – Breaking Dawn~
As they arrive in Lycia, it is still dark. The port however, is crowded, and troops are stationed. Anyse wonders what happened and declares that she wants to go and see. Before anyone can stop her, she is with the crowd of troops and villagers. To her shock, they are throwing stones and assaulting a hybrid. She rushes in front of the hybrid, demanding to know why they’re doing such a thing. One of the soldiers explains that the hybrid has ransacked a house and brutally murdered its occupants. A few villagers clear the way for her to see. As she stands there in shock and the assault assumes, Synch leads her away saying they’re simply satisfying their own prejudice.

The group leaves for the next town for rest after managing to convince Anyse to go. On the way however, a group of bandits are resting and laughing, talking about the pitiful riches they stole and how easy it was to blame the stray hybrid. Unable to control her anger Anyse attacks them and a battle ensues. As the battle starts, a pair of Pegasus knights swoops down from the skies, saying that they were to escort the group and see what was holding them up. The fight is over, and the noble insists they go back to the village to declare the hybrid’s innocence and takes off.

When she arrives, she finds the hybrid coughing up blood abandoned outside of town and all is quiet. She happily tells him that he is innocent, and promises that the villagers will accept him. The hybrid however, dies after hearing this. Anyse tearfully begs Aitze to heal him, and vainly yells that he was innocent. Villagers come out and demands to know what the commotion is. They refuse to believe the hybrid’s innocence and returns to their homes.

After burying the hybrid, the group sets off just as the sun starts to rise.
“Count on us, we’ll take good care of you!”
“We’ll do our very best to fulfill our job until the end.”
“We’re all the same aren’t we? So how could you?! He was innocent! How can you make him bleed like this and not even show a bit of sorrow?! I’ll never forgive you!”
Units: Anyse, Jacob, Howl, Regretta, Fiona, Drew, Synch, Mystica, Millay, Valor, Fury, Aitze, Jorm, Fiona, Flora

As the sun rises and the group nears a seemingly abandoned temple, Valor abruptly asks to stop by there as she heard of an ancient blade that was kept there. She apologizes as she knows the group is tired and needs to rest.
~Gaiden: Fangs of the Dragon~
Accepting, the group enters, met by odd human-looking creatures. These creatures are quickly taken care of, and in what would’ve been the back room they are soon joined by a young man, who identifies himself to be ‘Kiran’. He comments that the seal has indeed been broken and also wonders what Valor took so long. Apologizing to the ‘Commander’, she thanks Anyse for accompanying her. Both Valor and Kiran lightly comment that perhaps in the future, they would not mind having Anyse along. Anyse is too distracted by the night’s events to care. Kiran comments that Valor should return soon, and with that said he parts and the group moves on.

Outside, Kiran is met by Blaze, who asks if indeed he was within their ranks, as he suspected. Kiran answers yes, and asks what Blaze will do. Blaze simply says it is none of Kiran’s business.

Back to the group, when asked who Kiran was, Valor explains he was her superior and that he will one day bring about a world where there is no sadness. Remembering the hybrid, Anyse says she wishes that kind of world as well while crying.
“I… wish for a world like that too… a world without sadness. A world... where everyone is happy...”
Obtained: Flamberge/Wolfram (PRF Valor, S-rank); Blue Gem (enemy boss drop); Dragonshield (enemy thief steal); Knight’s Crest (chest)

Scenario 1 – No Gaiden:
Valor tells the party that she will be gone for a couple hours and that she will catch up. She returns, telling them she had gotten what she wanted.
Obtained: Flamberge/Wolfram (PRF Valor, S-rank)

~Ninth Verse – We’ll Surely Meet Again~
The group nears Ostia, when an unmarked troop catches up to them. They demand to know if the group came from the Isle of Apocalypse. Before Valor could advise otherwise, Anyse says yes, saying that she and her companions recently returned from there on a pilgrimage. The troop launches an attack on them, saying that they must kill Anyse no matter the cost.

Confused, the group engages the troop, and Valor seems angry and antsy, although no one can figure out why. After the battle is over, the knightess apologizes, saying that she is unable to keep her promise. When Anyse asks her to stay Valor apologizes again, saying that she has dawdled long enough. She thanks Anyse, telling her that she looks forward to the next time she meets her and that they will definitely meet again. She gives Anyse a crest, saying that perhaps she’ll be able use it soon. With that Valor departs.
“I apologize. It seems I’m unable to keep my promise after all. I trust the rest to you. I hope – no, know… that we will surely meet again in the future.”
Obtained: Sakura Biyori (not sellable, crest)
Units: Anyse, Jacob, Howl, Regretta, Fiona, Drew, Synch, Mystica, Millay, Valor, Fury, Aitze, Jorm, Fiona, Flora

~Tenth Verse – Duty~
The group arrives in Etruria, and is immediately greeted by the royal court. Before they can do anything, the group is whisked off the palace and Anyse is dragged into an audience. King Damian personally congratulates her; the Council gives her the title of ‘Viscount’. Without skipping a beat, the Council then proceeds to explain to her that she is the ‘Final Chosen’, and tells her that it is her duty to bring glory to Etruria. They ask her to unlock the Seals as a gesture of gratitude and duty to her country. The King is more reluctant to ask, but he knows there is no other choice. The Council does not tell her the consequence of this journey.

Before a confused Anyse can answer, arrows burst in from the windows and her companions rush in, crying out that there is an ambush… Anyse rushes out and sure enough, assassins and mercenaries run rampage and soon the hall is bathed in blood. With the remaining guards, the group fights back. Among the enemies is a face that Regretta and Drew find all too familiar. They convince him to switch sides. Another ally is with the enemies, a myrmidon reluctant to fight against a group full of women and children.

The battle rages on and near its end, Anyse is occupied fighting a soldier. From behind, an assassin strikes, but Synch comes to her rescue, and both exchange injuries. The battle ends and the assassin is taken to be executed. However Anyse refuses to let him die and instead suggest that he be punished by becoming her guard. Before anyone can question the absurdity of her decision, the group is forced off by the Council with some meager funds and a knight for protection.
“Hello, Lady Cléraine, it looks like I’m under your command from today!”
“It is your duty, as a Viscount and as a citizen of Etruria, to bring glory to it. As the Chosen One, bring back glory and wealth to Etruria, Anyse Juliette Cléraine.”
Units: Anyse, Jacob, Howl, Regretta, Fiona, Drew, Synch, Mystica, Millay, Fury, Aitze, Jorm, Fiona, Flora, Kameron, DeWae, Janissary, Lucas
Obtained: 20,000 Gold.

Right, so this is obviously only the one split of the possible two. And yes, I'm well aware my story lacks 'general plot' and 'has no real story', but oh well, I never prided myself as the best writer in the world. Hopefully it'll get to evolve itself. So that's what I have of now as the beginning (ie first 10 chapters)- read it or don't, that's your choice.
Flamemonkey
Seems pretty good to me. Yes, a little more in the way of plot development is in order, but this is the "prologue" of the game, so it isn't terrible as is.
However, development on the places/religion/apocalypse is fantastic. This part would definately have to be part of any combo we make.
Vermillion
Right, so...here is the beginning part of mine. >_> It's rather...more nostalgic than plot-ish. It features a lot of characters from Rekka and Fuuin as bosses and NPC's.

It's not finished yet. I didn't want to waste my time if no one really like the first 10 chapters....

PROLOGUE

Etruria, in the year 1012 of our Lady Elimine is the period of our tale. The Royal Nation of Etruria had split after a battle of succession of the royal throne. When The Prince Mildain took the throne with his betrothed wife Lady Clarine of House Reglay, the lands of Etruria cheered.

However, not all was well. Count Carleon did not believe in that Mildain was who he said he was and that the Royal Generals were under a spell. In his anger, he succeeded from Etruria along with the Western Isles. While small time battles were seen across the border, the general peace was...well known. In the year 1013 at the Holy Temple of Elimine, the Treaty of Carleon-Etruria was signed in front of Queen Quinivere, a distant relative to King Mildain and Queen Clarine.

6 months later...

Carleon annexed Misur, more commonly known as Nabata into their lands. This action, was seen as 'stupid' and 'idiotic' by the other countries for Nabata was known for it's lack of resources.

However, a completely unexpected move was taken next. In a sudden blitzkreig, Carleon forces entered the lands of Reglay. Reglay was known for it's beauty and learning...General Klein and his forces stood no chance against the swift attack.

General Klein surrendered 1 day later. The Locations of Lord Pent and Lady Louise is unknown.

This however, was not the end of Carleon's attack..and this, is where our story begins.

<-----Prologue: The Girl of Wonder----->

Anyse is out picking herbs to make some vulneraries when she stumbles upon a ransacked building with some children. She notices soldiers and quickly runs up to stop them. She is joined by the Free Knight, Jacob. After the battle, Anyse and Jacob decide to take the children to the nearby town for their safety.

<-----Chapter 1: Blood falls----->

After making sure the children are safe, enemy troops appear in the town. Quickly, Anyse and Jacob mobilize along with Howl to defeat the troops. After defeating the boss, Anyse hears a comment about how the Etrurian Villages would be targeted and she decides to save them.

<-----Chapter 2: Flightless Path----->

Anyse, Jacob and Howl are merely traveling when they stumble upon two mercenaries. The pegasus knight Fiona and the merc. Shuuda. Both were being attacked and Anyse helps them. Fiona and Shuuda join the army.

<-----Chapter 3: Pure Winds----->

Anyse and co. stumble upon a town and find a young archer named Regretta as well as a Thief called Synch. As they talk, they hear the sound of bandits and defeat them. However, as the bandits are defeated, the approaching brigade of a Carleon army appears.

<-----Chapter 4: Pure Heart----->

Mystica and Milay appear and when they see Anyse and co. fighting, they decide to help out. The goal of this chapter is defend. After the chapter is won, the boss comments on how "We've distracted you long enough...that magic school must have fallen by now!". Anyse, eyes widened realizes this and decides she must head to her old school.

<-----Chapter 5: Sakura Biyori----->

As the group stumbles into the burning school ground, they see it ruined with the bodies of hundreds of students on the ground. Anyse and co. quickly enter the castle to see Sorcery General Kreios and what's left of the student body(some mages, monks and shamans) guarding the throne room. Anyse can recruit Aitze and Fury in this chapter.

After the battle, Kreios personally thanks Anyse for her help. They both then proceed to share notes on what they know. Kreios explains that the takeover of Nabata was a false move, that Carleon was actually organizing it's forces to attack Etruria. Carleon specifically let out a truce to all other countries saying that he would only attack Etruria. Kreios proceeds to explain that the main forces are headed towards Elimine's temple. If the temple of Elimine is taken over, King Mildain will have to surrender.

As Kreios leaves for Lycia to meet with Marchioness Lilina, the remaining students come to Anyse. They give her the school's most powerful magic tome, "Sakura Biyori" for her help.

<-----Chapter 6: Flee!----->

Before departing from the school, Anyse talks to her troops about their next action. All of them suggest going to the Etrurian capital and Anyse partly agrees. Half of Anyse wants to run home, because she does not want to hurt others anymore. The other half, her noble side to be exact knows that she must report to the King and Fury(who is also a noble) tells her this as well.

As the group departs, they are flagged by a group of cavaliers who quickly give chase. Anyse must capture the gate ASAP. Logan is recruited in this chapter as well.

At the end of chapter, Anyse starts doubting herself and her intentions.

<-----Chapter 7: When good goes wrong----->

In this chapter the monk, Drew is recruited. The goal is defeat all enemies. After the battle is finished, Anyse goes to the local village to find some information. Sync finds Anyse and tells her that he learned that Carleon is going to attack the Etrurian capital tomorrow when most soldiers are on vacation(for some reason). Anyse decides to head to the captial. Sync also tells her about a shortcut to the Etrurian Captial that would bypass the forces of Carleon.

<-----Chapter 7x:Scouting----->

In this chapter. Anyse and co. are traveling through the shortcut, when bandits starts hounding at them saying if they kill Anyse, the Carleons will give them gold. Anyse and friends defeat the bandits and proceed on their way.

<-----Chapter 8:Howling Knight----->

Anyse and friends arrive a little too late at the Etrurian capital, which is already being seiged by Ballistae. Regretta says she can control a ballistae.

Janissary, along with Flora, Thad and Lucas are guarding the main gate to the Etrurian Castle. While the are being besieged, Anyse and friends run up to help them.

Conversations to note are Flora and Fiona along as Anyse and Janissary. Kameron appears as an enemy, but can be recruited by either Drew or Regretta.

After the battle, Anyse tells Jan that the the Carleon forces are going to try and take over Elimine's temple. Jan agree's and both proceed to enter the castle and meet with King Mildain, Queen Clarine, General Percival and Prime Minister Marnglay.

Queen Clarine and King Mildain both thank Anyse and Jan for their hardwork. They bestow 10,000 gold, an Angelic Robe and a Killing Edge to Anyse for thanks. Prime Minister Marnglay and General Percival proceed to take up the floor.

Marnglay says that the true King of Carleon had been thrown into the dungeon and that his daughter, Lady Priscilla had taken over the affairs of the sate. Priscilla was the one who ordered the attacks on Etruria. Marnglay says though, that something is amiss because the Lady Priscilla would never do such things. He then says that he will continue to investigate the affair and proceeds to leave.

General Percival then takes on the battle aspects. He tells Jan and Anyse that the temple guard will not be able to withold the attack. He also states that he must headout and fight off the main force before they can penetrate further into the country. He entrusts Anyse and Jan with the protection of the Temple and bids them good day...not before leaving Jan with a Knight Crest however.

<-----Chapter 9:Fields of Hope----->

Jan and Anyse arrive in the front of the temple. There, they encounter the first of Carleon's general, Ruby, a Swordmaster. Ruby says that Anyse and Jan will never be able to stop them from taking the temple and quickly flees. Jan and Anyse fight off the forces and win before entering the tower.

<-----Chapter 10: Tower of Light----->

Jan and Anyse meet up with Jorm, the temple guard who explains the current situation. Everyone gives Anyse a 'We're with you all the way!' comment before the battle starts. General Ruby is currently on the throne and must be defeated. After Anyse/Jan captures the throne, enemy wyvern riders appear at the tower to defeat Anyse and Jan, but a small force of mages led by General Cecilia quickly saves the day and sends Ruby packing, but she leaves them with a cryptic message, "You may have defeated the Carleon forces, but we've got what we came for!" she shouts.

Upon this, the Head Bishop Yodel who was captured tells the group that the Magical Tome Aureola had been stolen.

King Mildain entrusts Anyse and Jan with the mission of reaching Carleon's capital and meeting with Queen Priscilla.

Marglay also appears and tells Jan and Anyse that a small resistance force in Nabata is fighting Carleon. He then says that they should be able to find aid there to defeat Carleon.

Some things to note...

Priscilla is the leader of Carleon...though only in name.
Jorm is the captain guard of Etruria's troops.
Marglay is the prime minister of Etruria.
Kreios is the Sorcery General of Etruria(Mage Knight, yo).
Percival is the Knight General, still.
Yodel is Head Bishop...still.
Cecilia is no longer Sorcery General, but a tactician. In this storyline, Cecilia was the Tactician in Rekka no Ken as well as General for Etruria in Fuuin.
Klein is a general in the Etrurian Army.
Clarine married Mildain, the prince of Etruria.
Sophia is the head of the Nabata Resistance Force.
Lilina is the Marchioness of Ostia.
Roy is the Marquess of Pherae.
Kent is the steward of Caelin.

The entire story takes place 12 years after Fuuin, 32 years after Rekka.

I like the story on this one. The nostalgia factor is definately a winning point. Wish you'd write a bit more in-depth, but whatever.

Guess I'll have to make Anyse-mode info, now...
Icy Toast
Since I absolutely loved both Ah Puch's story and Mochi's story and I couldn't choose, I just voted combo *gasp*. Not saying a combo should include only those two though. In fact, I think that if we end up going for a combo, we should really include elements of each story. Those are just my thoughts though.
Ah Puch
... I would vote for my own story, but I won't. I won't vote at all; I think the story-writers should not do so.

Anyway, here goes. I've revised the ending so as to make it more conclusive (but not happier).

The Unbroken Brothers

Formed some twenty-nine years ago, the Unbroken Brothers is one of the most feared mercenary companies ever to walk the face of Earth. Their infamy is more due to their violent behaviour and outright freaky commander than anything else, though, and they are quite reliable. Once you’ve hired them, they’ll serve you in a conflict six months a time, unless someone else pays two times as much as you; for a bunch of sellswords, that is not too shabby. They have five commanders: one general and three subordinates that direct the troops in battle.

General sir Falkman
The ‘freaky commander’ of the Unbroken Brothers. He is a knight, though he was never good at the knightly business, and used to work for a minor noble house until he fell in disfavour with his lord and simply left. Falkman went more or less mad when a wound he received in battle festered, almost killing him. Nowadays he is quite a different man from what he used to be, violent and unpredictable, prone to lapsing into fits and not a very good commander overall. He lacks remorse and is cruel (but some say he grieves for his son, who died in a skirmish with bandits five years prior to the game’s storyline), obsessed with eternal life and is prepared to do anything in order to gain it. For all he is worth, he is more of a puppet to Jennings the Bleeder than a commander in his own right, and he seems to be aware of it. The second half of my proposed storyline involves the Brothers splitting into two fractions, one fighting for Falkman and the other one supporting Jennings.

Falkman always gives his enemies a choice: they have to impale their own leader, and he’ll spare them, and if they don’t, he’ll attack. It is by using this grim tactic he has gained his epithet “the Impaler.” Sir Falkman fights with swords only, from atop his huge war mount. In FE terms, I guess he would be a paladin, except without lances.

Jennings the Bleeder
Right hand man of sir Falkman – the true power behind the throne, so to speak – and a refugee from some conflict far to the east. He, too, is quite disturbed, but not in the same way as his commander; rather than being brutal and misanthropic, he is soft-spoken and courteous towards those he like (men of his own ethnicity), although he has a tendency to lapse into paranoia, especially when he’s drunk. Violently racist and misogynist, he hates people with different skin colour as well as women with gusto, but the exact reasons are unknown. He frequently says that he’d “rather bed a man and try to get children with him than a woman”, and that “a perfect world would be a world without females.” It is said that he does not recognize that he himself is born of a woman, and he thinks that he appeared in thin air. In truth, Jennings grew up without his mother, but he had two older brothers and a father just as misogynist as he is.

Jennings is a wyvern lord, reckless and bold in battle. He does not like to sit around and see when his men fight; no, the Bleeder has to be in the fray himself, impaling people on his spear.

Eckhart
Resourceful and clever, but slightly gullible, Eckhart serves his general and father with a zeal paralleled by few. The younger of Falkman’s two sons, Eckhart saw his older brother getting his head smashed in after yielding, and swore to never, ever give up or raise the white flag in a battle. He is a fearsome warrior who would fight to his last blood drop rather than turn or flee – and this makes him the ideal sort of person to cover someone else’s back during a sortie. When he is not drunk (which he is often) he is an amiable fellow, but once the alcohol gets to his head he suddenly turns rude and unpleasant.

FE-wise, he’d be a hero.

Faceslasher
A pit fighter and assassin known for cutting all his victims in the face after slaying them in combat. He is a swordsman of unknown origin, who claims to have deserted the military in favour of serving Sir Falkman. All is not well, though, as he is quite delusional and styles himself a lord; he gets angry when people call him something else than “Lord Faceslasher.” He wears fine clothes he stole from a knight, and even has a banner of his own, which he cherishes above all his other possessions, his sword “Sharp” included. According to stories, he has fathered at least five bastards in every country he’s fought in. To make himself more fearsome, he wears several arrowhead necklaces, each arrowhead representing a battle in which he’s fought.

Of course the Faceslasher is a swordmaster. He is a good friend with the Headsmasher, another of the Unbroken Brothers’ commanders.

Headsmasher
An axe-fighter without his likes, a brutal foe and perhaps the nicest of the Brothers; sometimes known as the “Mace of Falkman” due to his enormous arm strength and the great enjoyment he derives from hitting people over the head with various objects. He is rather intelligent, actually, and one of the more capable strategists in the entire sellsword legion, but he often plays dumb to fool his enemies when meeting them before a fight. For some odd reason he talks in third person and stutters mildly when under stress and was mocked for this when he was younger, but nowadays scarcely anyone dares to tell any insult at all, no matter how mild, to him.

The Headsmasher likes to be in the company of the Faceslasher, since he finds the latter’s delusional ramblings to be amusing. He loathes commander Jennings for some unclear reason. FE-wise, he’s a berserker.

And now, moving on to the plot:

Puch’s Plot

Since I am not that acquainted with the characters of the game, I will simply not detail who joins where and why. These are minor points that can be decided upon later.

Following a series of minor Lycian conflicts – in what is known as the Lycian Leagues’ War – the Marquis of Kathelet, lord Theodor, hires the dreaded joint-force Sacaen-Etrurian sellsword company known as the Unbroken Brothers, as well as some other, minor mercenary forces, not quite as infamous and not quite as bloodthirsty, to force the other lords into an uneasy peace. Fourteen years of fighting between the city-states, due to inheritance issues, has left many former mighty houses like Ositia and Pherae impoverished and powerless, unable to take arms against the Kathelet oppressor.

(Well, the actual conflict was fairly complicated – but it suffices to say that Kathelet stayed out of it until the end of the war, and then used its vast resources to hire the sellswords).

Anyway, the commoners are content, if suspicious of their new ruler. After all, the fighting that plagued the land is over, even if it means that lord Theodor now reins supreme, almost as a king, and that the lords of the other houses are relatively unimportant players in the political game. The Unbroken Brothers, however, quickly become the subject of their scorn due to their outlandishly bizarre leaders and their frequent pillaging of smaller villages. They pledge to lord Theodor to discharge them from service, which leaves him with a though choice: is the best way to proceed sending that insane Falkman away and gaining the trust of the people, or does he have to let them stay in order to keep the other lords checked?

Rumours start to spread – the Unbroken Brothers are going to assassinate lord Theodor; the Marquis of Pherae, Eliwood III, is going to rise against the lord; Etruria is going to invade Lycia; general Falkman plans to rise in rebellion and kills his own buyer and sack every major city, and so on – which is of course not a good thing. In an attempt to calm things down, lord Theodor actually does what one of the rumours claim and allies himself with Etruria, asking the king to send his troops into Lycia and help keeping the peace, so that he can discharge the mercenaries he bought. He promises that Etruria will get Badon as a colony of their own if they stay in five years.

This is where Anyse comes in, as the daughter to the Etrurian field marshal sent down to keep the peace (with some ten thousand infantry and three thousand cavalry). He makes camp just outside Kathelet, and he, his wife and Anyse stay in the castle of the Lord Paramount, as Theodor now calls himself. Well, the marshal succeeds with his mission and keeps relative peace in the country for … some three days.

Her lifeguard, the paladin Jacob, wakes Anyse shortly after midnight. He tells her that the Lord Paramount is dead; apparently, sir Falkman of the Unbroken Brothers rode into the main hall on his warhorse, slaughtering all who tried to stop him, and then decapitated Theodor before he even managed to draw his sword. Other sellsword companies, minor ones, also turned cloak and are now fighting for Falkman, systematically decimating Anyse’s father’s legion by setting their tents on fire and shooting them down as they run out.

Jacob fought his way to her bedchamber with the help of some loyal soldiers, and now they have to escape. In doing so, they stumble across the drunken cavalier Poxy, who acts as the boss of the prologue. After killing him they get out into the town surrounding Kathelet, were the mercenaries and the soldiers who turned on their former masters are celebrating. Jacob dons Poxy’s clothing and claims that Anyse is a “pleasure lady” he’s taken for his benefit, in order for them to get out. On the way they meet Howl, who recognizes Anyse after playing at the court some days ago and who is escaping the sacked city as well.

Um, well, more could be added if you like this storyline. My main idea of how the plot will evolve is as follows:

Anyse and her companions are joined by a bunch of people as they run into various mercenary legions and groups of turncloaks serving the newly proclaimed Lord Supreme of Lycia, sir Falkman. There is quite a deal of Etrurian soldiers in the area, which is odd, as the country by all rights ought to be in conflict with Lycia after imprisoning and probably executing Anyse’s father. This is not as strange as one might be tempted to believe – it turns out, in cut scenes focusing on the villains mainly – that the Unbroken Brothers really work for the Etrurian government.

Etruria wishes to claim Lycia as their vassal, and secretly allied with one of the Brothers’ commanders, namely Jennings the Bleeder, who is the de facto general of the sellsword army. Anyse and her father were sent down as a feint, supposed to throw Bern and Ilia off the track and make them think that Etruria only entered the country to secure it for lord Theodor and get their hands on a relatively minor port town, Badon. Most of the Etrurian soldiers sent down in the first place were not aware of this little plan – all in order to render Etruria as one of the victims of Falkman’s rising.

Of course Ilia and Bern will suspect something when Etruria does not declare war on Falkman’s Lycia, but by then the Lycian-Etrurian alliance will be powerful enough to withstand a joint-force strike from both those nations. More characters are drawn into the conflict, until somewhere halfway through the game when Falkman arrests Jennings, throwing Lycia into another civil war (three fractions: those who support Falkman, those who fight for Jennings, and the commoners who’ve gotten enough of the sellswords and turncloaks). Ilia and Bern summarily declare war on Etruria, and voila, you’ve got a world war.

Falkman is desperately searching for some kind of weapon he thinks will win him the war – I am talking of Durandal, the sword. Yes, he is technically able to pull it, being a “child of Lycia” or whatever was required. Whether he collects it or not is, sadly, unknown. He is also spending some time reading old books, much to the scorn of his soldiers, and meeting with a druid known as Harchard, and sending letters to some Ilian general.

Anyway, war is raging, and seemingly the only way to halt the conflict is to get rid of the King of Etruria, and in order to do this, great numbers of soldiers are needed – soldiers that Falkman and his two loyal followers, Faceslasher and Eckhart, are in charge of. (Bern and Ilia are too far away, and besides they have no wish to kill the Etrurian king).

Thus follows a campaign through Etruria, Jennings and his men hot on their heels, and a siege of the capital city. The main characters are indeed suspicious of their new, insane ally, and his right hand man, Harchard the Druid – the two of them are often seen together, discussing charms and rituals, and sometimes Falkman is even seen practicing some dark magic.

But because he is such an insane bastard, Falkman declares that he has re-considered the whole thing and shifted his allegiance to Bern (which has promised him Jennings’ head for his servitude), and thus his men turn on Anyse’s and Janissary’s, but they manage to slay a man dressed up as him and take Eckhart as a prisoner, even if the Faceslasher runs away. Though insane, Falkman is quite clever and used his betrayal as a smoke screen to get away, letting one of his knights don his armour and banner. The false Falkman is defeated by a player character, but manages to run off. A scout patrol finds his headless body lying in a bush, the killer unknown.

Shortly thereafter, the Headsmasher is fought and meets his demise as he attempts to route Anyse with his host and pin her against the fortified metropolis. Falkman flees the area.

Meanwhile, Bern strikes against Lycia, hoping to conquer it, and Ilia, out of fear of its former ally gaining land, strikes against Bern. Their armies clash in Etruria and the Faceslasher is hired by Ilia to assassinate sir Leopold, the Bern commando leading the invasion force. Faceslasher gets to see his creator when a number of archers turn him into a human pincushion as he is collecting his reward from the Ilian general. Falkman is residing in the camp, with Durandal and his new “pet,” the dark druid Harchard. The Ilian general has gone rogue together with his troops after listening to a proposal by Falkman, and they no longer serve their homeland anymore.

Eckhart switches sides when he is freed, nighttime, by one of Jennings’ subordinates, but, fearing another betrayal, Jennings places him in the vanguard of his army and sends him away to fight the approaching Bern forces. Jennings is escapes when the main characters take the Etrurian capital city, in what appears to be the final battle. The king is slain and the royal family imprisoned.

The gone-rogue Ilian general, Crimson, sends a letter to Anyse and Janissary once they’re within the castle walls, claiming to be “supporting their cause.” He also writes that Ilia will “withdraw from Lycia and Etruria as soon as the real villains behind all this – the horrid Unbroken Brothers – are punished,” and since “the civil war in Bern has all but ended, a true peace is soon at hand.” He also wishes to come to the capital of Etruria with his legions and join the celebrations, promising to forgive them for all the Ilians that have died.

‘kay, down to the three last chapters; Chapter 32, Chapter 32x and the Final.

Jennings returns to the capital city during the night and hides in an abandoned storehouse, hoping to get to talk to the main characters. He spied on his former commander while they were still in Lycia, and even paid Falkman’s new pet Harchard to tell him what the mad knight was up to. Since hardly anyone knows his face, he has no trouble of getting into the castle and talking to Anyse or Janissary. He says that he is a mercenary who formerly worked for the Ilian army, and that he is positive that the Ilian envoy approaching the city bore ill will. After a while, Anyse recognizes him as the Bleeder, the woman-hater who served Falkman, and has him sent to the dungeons. His wyvern and lance are confiscated.

Two days from the arrival of the Ilian host, some soldiers loyal to the former king try to break Jennings out; and they are led by Eckhart himself (Eckhart has the ulterior goal of freeing Jennings, bringing him to safety and then cutting his head off for betraying Falkman) – this is chapter 32, fought down in the dungeons. Jennings gets out of his cell and runs, but they capture him yet again.

The Ilian host arrives, headed by Crimson. Harchard acts as a camp medic, and Falkman is nowhere to be seen. Some talking ensues, followed by the real stuff, when the mad knight himself, Durandal in hand, fuelled by the magic of his new druid friend, and fights for nothing else than revenge. Jennings breaks out of his cell and re-takes his mount, but doesn’t turn on the main characters but rather fights together with them, intending to take Falkman down. Falkman is a pumped-up super-paladin something with a huge, black warhorse and a cloak worthy Ashnard. Even Durandal looks small in his hand.

Yeah, and somewhere there ought to be a gaiden, too. Well, Falkman dies, but predictably piece is not achieved. The Bern-Ilian war slowly ebbs out as the royal family of Bern is impeached and summarily excommunicated, and the king’s cousin takes the throne under the name Zephiel IV. Ilia withdraws their troops from Etruria, leaving the country in the hands of deserters and bandits; Lycia has no choice but to divide even more and become a number of totally independent states rather than a league. Poverty and famine wrecks the continent, and the future is overall bleak, though there is hope as the war is officially over and the dreaded Brothers are forever gone. The last remaining Brothers flee the continent; re-unite under the new leader, Dagon the Skull Helmet; or simply become vagabonds. Never again are the now greatly diminished Unbroken Brothers hired by any civilised power, and Falkman is remembered as one of the greatest foes of humanity ever to grace Elibe.

Anyse and Janissary do something along the lines of spend the rest of their days trying to restore Etruria and Lycia (since neither Ilia or Bern were really destroyed by the fighting).

Were we supposed to post the villains, too? o___O
Ah Puch
Unbroken Brothers =/= villains per se. They are important characters for the story all in all, and I was too lazy to remove them when I posted it anyway, yo.

Oh, and bugger me with a knifepoint -- I'm bloody well losing it!

Janissary
Ansye is a peasant mage from Lycia. Elibe is in turmoil in her time. Ostian Marquess Gunther was married to the Princess Olivia of Bern. Olivia was 4th in line for the throne of Bern, behind her brothers Dillan, John, and her mother Hannah. When all three of them die before Olivia, she inherits the throne of Bern. In conjunction with her husband’s control of tyrannical control of Lycia, the couple has become the most powerful force known to man. Etruria and Ilia are not happy with this. They begin preparations for war which could be on a scale to destroy all mankind.
Ansye is care-free from this global reality as a peasant. She is a happy farmer with her family until one day when she returns from school. Her family farm has been sacked by bandits. She spots her parents bodies outside, maimed and deformed. She rushes inside where two bandits remain behind. After using her magic to dispatch them, Ansye wonders what to do with her life. It is now that her friend Howl enters the house. Fearing the worst, he prepares to see all the family dead. When he sees Ansye, he is relieved and he receives the story of what happened. Howl suggests that Ansye travel the world warning people of bandits and dispatching those bandits she finds. Howl offers to help her. They begin what will become a journey to end all journeys.
The twos first stop is in southern Sacae. Bandits are rumored to be based in the area, and Howl and Ansye begin to ask around to find their hideout. Unfortunately they ask the wrong people. One of the bandits overhears them and he and his friends ambush them in a bar. The tight quarters are make fighting hard.
Ansye continues her quest to rid the world of bandits. She gathers followers along the way. One day she discovers a bandit stronghold in a cave. In her hastiness she attacks it. Unfortunately, there are Lycian troops in the cave. It appears that Marquess Ostia has sent his son Janissary to negotiate a treaty with the bandits. After Ansye defeats the bandits, she is to weak to resist the overwhelming numbers of Janissary’s troops.
Janissary was visiting the bandits in order to secure a treaty that no attacks would be made on the lands of Gunther. Also the bandits would help attack Sacae and in exchange would receive their own kingdom in the northern half of Sacae. When Ansye broke up the meeting, Janissary managed to save around a quarter of the bandits to serve in his army while the rest defended the fortress. When the defending bandits were routed, Janissary had to swoop in with his many Lycian forces and capture Ansye. After the battle, he splits his grand army up to avoid Etrurian and Ilian spies from knowing the true size. In the vanguard is the highly trusted hero Paulo. To the left is esteemed Druid Caelif. To the right is Supreme Mage Anno. Janissary marches around the middle with the prisoners.
Unfortunately, the Ilian pegasi are swifter and more intelligent than Janissary suspected. Realizing the diversion, the brilliant commander of the 3rd wing of Ilia’s Pegasus Knights, Vesucia, launches a surprise attack on Janissary’s portion of the troops at night. Janissary is outnumbered. Ansye offers to help but Janissary refuses to arm the prisoners at first. When the situation becomes desperate, he gives Ansye and her friends the arms and the tide turns in his favor.
Impressed by Ansye’s leadership and martial skill, Janissary decides to force the girl into joining his army in the War of Ostian-Bern Succession. His father’s spies had learned of the plans of Ilia and Etruria to ally against the Ostian-Bern Dynasty. The Ostians had preemptively struck Sacae, fearing they too would ally against Ostia. In order to secure a victory in the Nomad front, Gunther wished to secure the alliances of the bandits. Janissary had done this, but with one hidden clause Gunther was not aware of. Janissary had not signed the pact to have the bandits salute Ostia-Bern. They had pledged allegiance to Janissary personally. He used the documents to make a forged agreement which he then presented to his father. Gunther was pleased and dispatched Janissary to attack Etruria.
Janissary decided to train his troops along the way, and give Ansye some experience. She is not at all pleased with this war, as Janissary’s “training” is razing villages in Sacae. However with Janissary’s axe always near and primed to knock her head off, she makes a façade of the killing. Meanwhile, she leaves the villages with some food or supplies at night. The night of the razing of the 4th village Janissary announces they are in Etruria, but they are not going to attack the castle. Feeling sure of himself, Janissary decides to instead comb the countryside for sellswords and miscellaneous misfits to attack Castle Ostia and his father. He declares his army independent of Ostian-Bern rule due to misdeeds committed by his father. He claims he is in line to the Etrurian throne when Sage Thanatos dies tomorrow. No one knows how he is positive the Sage will die, but when it happens, the entire army has newfound respect for Janissary. True to his word, he marches into the Etrurian capital and is crowned king. Ansye has no idea what is going on. She is shocked when he appoints her second in command of Etruria!
Before she has a chance to talk to him about it, Gunther arrives at the gates of the city in full force. Apparently one of Janissary’s soldiers had escaped not liking Janissary’s plan, and now had come back with Gunther. After some cryptic, plot-filling talking, Gunther leaves Hero Paulo, Janissary’s teacher, to defeat his son. When Paulo fails, Janissary gets headstrong and begins to plan his assault on Ostia. But first Ansye goes and gets details from Janissary. (I am going to outline some main details to save time)
1. Janissary is Etrurian.
2. Olivia is not is mother. He is the son of a Etrurian Princess named Rachel. Gunther had an “affair” with Rachel when he was in Etruria for diplomatic reasons.
3. Upon his return to Ostia, Gunther was married to Olivia. When he realized that Rachel was pregnant, he realized he could gain control of Etruria when Rachel’s father dies. He has Rachel hidden in a town somewhere in Sacae. When Janissary is born, Rachel is poisoned and power-hungry Gunther convinces mellow Olivia to take Janissary as her son. This is possible due to Olivia’s lack of public notice as she is only a princess through marriage. A spy by the name of Hanoi carried out the movement of Janissary and poisoning of Rachel.
4. When Olivia becomes heir to Bern, Gunther forgets about Etruria as Bern in more militarily adept. Janissary discovers a plan to kill him desperately goes to his father asking permission to negotiate the bandit treaty. He goes to talk to Hanoi, who is now a retired general in Caelin, about what occurred around his birth. Hanoi tells him of his past. Janissary is enraged at Gunther. He goes and signs the bandits and meets Ansye.
5. Meanwhile, Hanoi is sent with a necklace belonging to Rachel, who was assumed to be dead after being missing for almost 25 years, to prepare the way for Janissary to be crowned. When the Etrurian Sage Lord Memel catches sight of the necklace, he faints and falls ill. In his last words he grants Janissary the throne as son of Rachel. He curses him to oppose Gunther or die.
RUSHED FROM HERE ON
Janissary marches towards Ostia. After various conflicts throughout the journey with the leading generals of Gunther, he finally reaches Ostia. To get in the city he defeats the Druid Caelif. Once in the city he beats the powerful Sage Anno. In Castle Ostia, he is confronted by the heir apparent to the Ostian-Bern Throne, Janissary’s half brother Jonas, in the throne room while Gunther and Olivia are in inner chambers hoping they do not have to fight. When Jonas is defeated, Gunther and Olivia arrive in full force. A small but elite set of troops accompany him. There are also many healers in his troop. Gunther himself is in a extremely hard to damage set of armor, and Olivia wields the most powerful of Light tomes. Janissary and Ansye must overcome much to defeat them.

Author Note: Obviously this part is not developed enough. I was at fireworks tonight, and I couldn’t think about it like I wanted too. It will be much more in depth. This covers approximately 7-10 chapters, so it needs to be more specific.

Only if I get to bugger you with a poker

Ok Ok I'll vote now.

If Combo wins will it be a combo of the next two or of all of them?

If it's combo I guess we'll do a poll on what stories to combine.
Ah Puch
The Mayan God is back in the game, and he's strong!
Night Shift
Well...my input doesn't really count as I'm not part of the project or anything and therefore can't possibly understand how hard it is to be in any of your positions, so feel free to completely disregard this huge rant. But with that in mind....

I found it hard to choose any one story on its own, so I voted for a combo, although it'd probably be hard to pull off.... Personally, I really like the air of epic mystery that Mochi's story purveys, as well as the full, well-developed baddies that Puch supplied. Flare's story was also cool and well-done in how it directly related to FE6/7 and sounded like it could actually be a legitimate sequel. And while I admit that I was at first unimpressed with Janissary's story, I believe that the fact that the story so far is only about seven or eight chapters means there's lots of promise there (although it might be a little crammed full of plot in such a short time).

...To clarify a little, I think some sort of combination between Mochi's and Puch's stories would be best. This is because although I genuinely believe Flare's story is awesome, I personally would probably enjoy a game with all new characters and such better than older, more cherished characters. But then again, I'm weird, so.... Also, while I'm pretty sure Janissary's story has the potential to be something great, it doesn't exactly seem to lead much of anywhere, and although there might be something extraordinary lurking in a future part of the story...I don't quite...feel drawn to it...I'm sorry.... Mochi's story also doesn't seem to have an overly clear direction to it either, but it has the great allure of something mysterious and powerful...a Pandora's box that everyone wants for himself. And then there's Ah Puch's story, with the meaningful, disturbed enemies involved in some ginormous, crazed power struggle, and the main characters tossed in the mix like raw chickens to hungry crocodiles. If one was to take the strong pull of wanting to find out what Mochi's Apocalypse was and slap it with Puch's ability to really hold down the fort with his vibrant, detailed story...well then, I think you'd have a recipe for something amazing.
Janissary
^Actually the end part is about 6-7 chapters. The entire thing is supposed to cover, maybe, 25-28 chapters.
Ah Puch
Your words honour this old Mayan God, Night Shift. I wanted my villains to be real nasty guys and the story to be slightly darker than your average FE-plot.
Janissary
Well since Combo seems to be winning, here is my idea so far about a combo.

We have my basic premise of war, where Gunther and Olivia are going to be in control of too much and the other countries try to prevent this. When Gunther and Olivia start losing the war, they hire the Unbroken Brothers to assist them. However, the Unbroken Brothers sieze power instead of aiding the current powerbase. After siezing power, they recieve intel about the Apocalypse. They begin pursueing it. The main goal of the story is to stop the Unbroken Brothers. We could have a Lyn mode sort of thing with the original conflict about the succession of Bern/Ostia.
Swordsalmon
I'm in love with Ah Puch's story, and voted it. I think some elements from the other stories should be combined into it, though.
Ah Puch
... I believe Swordsalmon's views are the same as mine, would it happen that my plotline won. Many people are intrigued by Mochi's apocalypse, so perhaps that could be incorporated into my plotline as the ultimate goal Falkman is striving for, or something along those lines. I am sure you get my idea. We are, after all, only voting for the skeleton plot right now, eh?
Aitze
All of the stories are good, but... I don't really like all that dark stuff. >_>

*waves Kiran flag*

By the way... If Combo wins... That basically means we haven't decided on anything. >_> Which would make this poll kind of... Well...

Originally the contest was to decide the chief writer... I'm not too sure what it's for now.
Arch
This poll is to decide which outline our writers will follow, they all can choose to or not to participate in the writing of the final script.
von Richthofen
Just a question, but what are we going to do to the script in the case of people killing off the characters of members they don't like? <.<;
Babs
^(Mochi)You can do that? o___O I thought the only people 'dying' would be the villains and such.

And as for the Apocalypse sticking it into other plots is cool, but I dunno how well it would work for other plots. Especially since I finally decided what it was going to be this morning XD
Indigo
No what he means is that you purposely let someone die. Usually a character you hate.
IE: Sending a level one Rolf off to his death by pushing him into a group of Laguz.

Don't worry, dude. We've got several writers -- we're deciding on skeleton plot here, not all the pesky little details.

We'd need a story important character who will "retreat" and take on any speaches that dead characters would usualy deliver, like Zelgius replacing Tanith in POR
Arch
I didn't discover the Zelgius replacing Tanith thing until my brother used a cheat code to warp straight to teh Epilogue, no characters were recruited except Ike so I got to see Zelgius speaking in Tanith's place.
Gespenst
It usualy happens if she dies.
Arch
She was never obtained so the game marked her as "dead"

We have a tie! Now all we need is a tie breaker...
Ah Puch
Puch's Plot! Puch's Plot! Puch's Plot!

*Ah Puch climbs the speaking podium and waits for audience to calm down. He is wearing full Mayan god regalia -- in his case, bells hang from his hair; he is adorned with gemstones; and he is clad in his best kilt.*

Yes, yes, thank you very much, thank you. I know some of you have come a long way to hear me speak, and it moves me to tears, if I must tell you the embarrasing truth, so I hope, with all my heart that the little rousing speech I am going to give here shall inspire you to vote Mayan. We need strong men, we need a strong country, and we need a strong story too! What use is a game of, when it lacks a powerful, touching plotline, with all manners of twists and turns? What use is a game without the main character facing overwhelming odds -- and yet he or she continues to fight for what is good? What is a game without the most delicious, wonderful, smart, super-intelligent, genetically augmented, posthuman, strategically inclined, horrific and -- I did say wonderful, right? -- most skilled writer? Yes, that is moi.

My ego might be big; yes, it might be so big that it makes me write posts like this ... and yet, I know, that deep down in your hearts you wish, no, no, you desire to vote for Ah Puch. It is way better than ecstacy and sex and the white stuff and one-hundred-percent pure, double-distilled booze at the same time (combined with a painkiller nevertheless); it is more pleasurable than to slowly digest a bar of chocolate; it is more rewarding than beating Parodius on hard mode; indeed, it is generally better than just about everything -- to vote for the Mayan God, that is.

So, don't sit around at home, you lazy bums! Get out there in the streets and declare your unconditional love for moi. Get out there and fight for what you think is the right way to a brighter future (by voting for moi). Get out there and scream to the Universe, to everyone, and to no one, that I am your true and only master, and that you will forever serve moi.

Go make the Mayan God president! Go make me, your parents and their parents proud -- do it now, and do it the American way. Vote for Ah Puch.

... ah, there my ego goes again, growing too large. I hope you can bear with my sucky sense of humour; I am obviously kidding, yo.
Arch
I change my vote to Ah Puch (not because of the long assed speech) so the poll is over and Ah Puch wins!
