I've just added the IPB Store to the forums. It's quite primitive right now, so any suggestions to make it better would be greatly appreciated. If people want to submit quizzes for me to add I'd be happy to do that too.

If tons of people vote 'no' on the poll I don't want to think that my time was wasted after I remove the systems. That's why it's primitive right now, but it'll probably change in the near future. I'll add the Army System also, at some point...

Note: There are items available which allow you to change people's titles, sigs nd avatars. These are for fun only. If anyone puts up something abusive, well don't say I didn't warn you.

Extra Rules: If someone changes you sig, avatar or title you must keep it on for at least a week. Otherwise there's no point and no fun =P

Extra Bacon


1) Post a story = 1000 Bacon

2) Post a new chapter (chapter word length must be at least 800. If not post two chapters adding to that amount) of your story = 400 Bacon

3) Start an RP = 2000 Bacon

4) Join an RP = 500 Bacon

5) Start a 'graphic' shop (no, I don't mean sell porn) = 600 Bacon

6) Start another form of shop = 500 Bacon

7) Birthday = 50 Bacon X Age (Must be active to claim. Clearly fake ages will get 500 Bacon, flat rate)

8) Start a contest = 1500 Bacon

Bacon. Right. Well, a good idea in theory. And if it makes the forums a little more fun, then so be it.

Then again, we don't really have many people, so I don't know if the Army System should make a return. I don't suppose we could implement something else that, while being fun, doesn't really focus so much on attacking everyone? Not that that was a bad thing, just can't see us hiring people with bacon. =p

Bacon is cool. Far better than typical 'points' or 'dollars'. I'm sure there's some weird currency from some uncommon nation I could use, but bacon sounds fun! And who cares what it's call, as long as people post to get more of it! I sure hope no one here is vegetarian...

Well, I'm open for ideas. I personally don't care much for the Army system, but I do like the idea of a store. It makes things fun, pointless, yet fun. And bacon is yummy.

I vote for some other way of collecting bacon, that isn't an army system. Games or something. I don't know. Unless we were raising up pigs to attack other people's pigs and using said slain pigs as new bacon? But I fear that might be getting a little too gruesome for something entrenched in being fun.

I can randomly give people bacon ('cos I own a shed down back for this kinda thing). If people throw events and label prizes in 'bacon' and I agree to them, I'll be happy to award said back to the winners. I think mods can also award bacon. I'm not entirely sure... Hyo might be able to clarify it for me. Anyways, I agree. The whole idea of this was for events and forum activity through earning bacon through various ways (not just through Army, which is why I secretly don't want to add the Army System >.>).

Besides, on the old FEA the Army system seemed a little unbalanced. You can't really use bacon to pay for services and whatnot if people are attacking you constantly and you have none (even if you're contributing heaps to the forum).

I agree with that idea then. It would be all right if there was perhaps something else one could do to raise bacon outside of posting, I suppose. But in the end that sort of thing doesn't matter, and it's only for fun anyway.

I was kinda afraid I would offend Caenis by making it 'bacon' what with her owning a pet pig and all... But since you say she'd be cool with it I see nothing that we could lose from this project. It's basically win win.

Aleatz.... How could you? How could you name our currency after something so...so...crispy? It better be crispy in any case. >.<

I think the store is a pretty good idea. Like Plague, I don't think we exactly have enough active members (that would participate) in the army system. Maybe one day it could be implemented again if people want it, but not for a while. Plus, it would sort of suck for the non-army playing members if the bacon they had was wiped out by another's army on a regular basis. Unless there would be a way to prevent that from happening.

Hm. Suggestions.... Well, since I'm staring at the emotes, perhaps people can get bacon from creating new emotes or maybe designing a new skin or banner for the site or something, if...anyone felt like trying it and most approved of the new emotes/skin. Then new topics would result in a person getting more bacon or something.

Would the bacon apply to the Madhouse as well? Or just everywhere else?

Bacon applies everywhere. Bacon is universal. THERE IS NO LIMITS TO BACON! (Mmm... You're right, it is crispy!)

I think members have the option to create an army and not join in with the army system, so I guess it could work.

Being a pervert, I'd name the e-currency dong after the Vietnamese currency, but I have a feeling that my alternative'd get voted down.

And just like that the denizens of FEA took up to saying "here, I've got a dong for you" whenever they gave someone bacon. And they all blamed Puch.

I suppose we could have a vote later to see if we want to change the currency, but that'd probably make Aleatz sad.

I think the army system/store is kind of stupid and gimmicky, but I see no problem with having it around. If nothing else, it will give me something to do when I'm bored.

I love the idea of it being bacon, but...what exactly are we going to use these things on? This is a forum and all, and really there's nothing to "buy". But hey, Bacon is always a good thing in my book, and I'd totally barter with bacon back in the day, if I could.

Of course it is. But, no one's posting... Except in one topic. If something stupid and gimmicy increases activity, why not do it?

If anyone has looked at the store they'll see that the items are alright. You can change other people's titles, avatars and signatures. There's items for stealing bacon and increasing your interest. There's also an item for pinning your own topics. Note that these can be used, however the last will simply pin your topic for a month. After that I'll unpin it (yes I'm cruel).

There isn't a huge number of items I can add in the first place. So... Yeah...

Apart from that you can use it as a currency among members. You could use it in spriting or RPGs or whatnot, doesn't matter. I personally am going to start a 'soul selling' shop. And I promise that I won't award myself bacon >.> Even though I'm very tempted. I'll have to contribute to get some too.

Funny thing is, is I'm fixing up an RP right now that I'm planning to post. XD Though, I must admit that some of the shop items slightly scare me, somewhat. Just somewhat.
