I've been sitting here for 10 minutes trying to figure out what exactly to say, as I can foresee that my leaving will be a huge, dramatic blow to FEA.. But I can't stand it any longer. I'm leaving FEA. Not retiring, leaving.

I have no interest in FEA anymore, and I haven't had any for months. FEA is getting terribly lonely, and there's nothing I can do about it. I tried implementing several things, in hopes of more posts, but it just didn't work out. The summer brought us no new members, tragic though it may be, even Google itself only brought a handful.

Flare has crowned himself 'Webmaster', and there's little I need to do for you anymore. I didn't really do much as Admin, I was more like Flare's assistant, only changing people's names, and so on.. I wasn't another Flare, as some assumed. I wasn't really in charge of FEA, so my leave from here really shouldn't be missed. I haven't posted much in who knows how long, as there are no topics for me to post in. Another thing that irritates me, really, is the lack of active topics. It seems everyone is slowly adopting my reclusive viewpoint. I'll end this speech with a lovely little quote from MSN:

I'll still click my 'FEA2' favorite periodically, to check on new posts, but I'm gone. Don't expect any more posts from my direction, I'm sorry. I'll truly miss you all, but my presence at FEA wasn't meant to be. I've made this as minimally dramatic as possible, but that wasn't entirely achievable. All I've stated was the truth.

I cannot say I spoke to you a lot, Eternity's End, but I ought to say goodbye anyway. For some reason it will be weird with you leaving; it's not very common for a forum to lose it's admin just like that. I just wonder -- is it important that we have many new users all the time? Being an elitist, I see no problem in limiting FEA to a few number of people, provided there is some activity. This is just my take on the whole business. I also disagree about the intelligent post thing; I consider myself a participant in many a deep discussion here. Ah, well, I am not here to question your motives, so I guess this is goodbye.
